Cancellation policy:
Any time prior to 7 days of the booking - 100% refund of the deposit
Within 7 days of the booking - 50% of the deposit
Within 24 hours of the booking - No refund of the deposit

Boarding is based on 24 hours with a 4-hour grace period. After that, a $20 daycare fee applies.
For example, if you drop off at 9:00am, pick-up should be before 1:00pm on the last day.

For stays of 10 days or more, this fee does not apply. Feel free to drop off & pick up any time between the operating hours.

Cancellation policy:
•More than 7 days before: No fee, full deposit refunded
•Within 7 days: 50% of deposit for the first 5 days is non-refundable
•Within 24 hours: Full deposit for the first 5 days is non-refundable
•Returning early: Same 7-day/24-hour policy applies

Extended Care:
Nightly rates are based on a 24 hour time period from drop-off to pick-up.
Extended Care @ $50 will apply if the end time on the final day of the stay is more than 8 hours later than the start time on the first day of the stay
Example: If you drop off at 8:00am, pick up would be before 4:00pm on the final day. Any time after that would incur an Extended Care fee of $50
Things to bring:
Their harness if they use one.

Food - please always bring a little extra - travel delays sometimes happen!

Treats - we have treats too, but it’s best to stick with your dog’s favourite.
​
Bed and/or crate with a small blanket, t-shirt etc that smells of you.
​
Medication, personal supplies etc
​

No need for a leash, raincoat, bowls, toys etc as we have lots here.
If there's an emergency:
While I don’t anticipate any injury or illness with your dog, please know that should anything happen while they’re in my care, I have it covered.

My usual protocol is to contact you and/or your emergency contact, advise of the situation, ask what you’d like me to do and, if necessary, take your dog to the vet.
In the event of an emergency, I will take your dog to the vet immediately and contact you as soon as possible.
​
A liability waiver and Vet Release form are required to be completed prior to the initial stay.
Your dog needs to be on flea preventative treatment like Advantage™
If a dog arrives and is found to have fleas, they will be quarantined pending immediate pick-up either by you or your emergency contact. The first 5 days' deposit will be forfeited.
If immediate collection isn't feasible, they will be bathed and given Capstar treatment. There will be a $250 fee to cover the treatment, all other guests' flea baths and the house being treated & deep cleaned.

We take flea prevention & treatment very seriously.
Our Maggie had a wonderful stay with Helen and her family. Daily photos and videos kept us up to date, she was clearly having a good time. Helen was very thorough in learning about Maggie’s routine, her likes and dislikes. It was so nice that the whole family played a part in her care.
We will certainly book with Helen whenever we go on vacation, cannot recommend her enough.
